2015 Science summer school at Gonville & Caius College, University of Cambridge

Attended lectures and participated in activities in a broad range of lectures on topics such as genetics, reducing noise emissions in turbofan engines, and game theory.

2015 Debate Chamber Mathematics Summer School

Studied topics such as set theory, logic, and Turing Machines.

2015 Aeronautical engineering Headstart course at University of Liverpool:

Worked as part of a team, which won the final competition. I tested the effect on performance of the number and speed of propeller blades and used the data to design a computer modelled aircraft for a virtual time trial. I learnt the importance of using experimental data to validate theoretical models.

2015 UK Space Design Competition Regional Heat:

Project leader of a team entered by my school. Oversaw design and presentation of a space habitat to orbit earth and support long term use. Had to effectively manage sub-teams and co-ordinate each team’s ideas to produce and present a final design.
